Dear Colonel Walker,
Please excuse me for not having acknowledged sooner your most helpful letter of 22nd February about the requisitioned railway materials in Hong Kong. You gave us just the sort of confirmation of the Governor's views for which we were hoping and we are most grateful.
In order to try finally to tidy the matter up we are now following up the suggestions which you made and are writing to Mr. Smith and also asking the Governor to see if he can unearth in Hong Kong the Order Books to which you refer.
LT.COL.R.D.WALKER, O.B.E.,M.C.
Yours sincerely,
(سوری)
